I met Pat in my role as High Sheriff at the Holocaust memorial services where Pat was a speaker sharing her experience of the journey with community leaders to Auschwitz which I found to be both moving and insightful. I commissioned Pat to undertake a review of the JRC for Greater Manchester and regions. I felt Pat’s insight of the Jewish community and her leadership role as former interim Chief Executive of Bury Council, and across GM, together with previous experience of working with Jewish representatives would be beneficial for her to undertake this piece of work from an independent perspective. Pat’s approach to the commission was objective, challenging, transparent and refreshing in terms of honesty of what was required to ensure that people were engaged, felt safe to contribute, and maintained a confidential environment throughout the project. Pat’s integrity throughout built a platform of trust to produce a report that was objective, responsive and engaging and gave a clear roadmap for change. Pat communicated regularly throughout the project timeline and completed the task as agreed within the project brief within a timely manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pat to undertake any review of organisational boards or structures to enhance performance and give that quality assurance to ensure that the person/people are at the centre of any outcomes.

I worked with Pat Jones-Greenhalgh for 7 years in her roles as Executive Director for Adult Care Services, Deputy Chief Executive and Interim Chief Executive. I have known Pat for a number of years as Director of Adult Social Care and as Interim Chief Executive at Bury Council. I joined Bury Council in 2002 and in the following months and years Pat has encouraged me to develop my career and aided my learning with her vast range of knowledge and experience across Adult Social Care. Since 2002, I have undertaken a numerous roles and have gained much experience but will always keep the ethos and drive that Pat has shown me close to my heart.
